Membership: To become a member at Ealing Weightlifting Club please contact us prior purchasing a long term monthly membership, this is due the limited amount of space and resource we have. Furthermore if you are a beginner or have limited abilities to complete Olympic lifts you will first have to complete out Beginners weightlifting course (please see more information below).

Beginners weightlifting course: If you’re interested in learning how to perform the two weightlifting movements – the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk – then sign up for our beginner weightlifting course at Ealing Weightlifting Club. The course is run by our Club head coach who is an ex Olympia and experienced British Weightlifting senior and international coach.

When?

The course will be run over 4 weeks, with one 1h45m session per week.

Sunday – 11:00 – 12:45

Class size is capped at 6 people to ensure each athlete can receive dedicated feedback.

What’s involved in the class?

We’ll have a group warmup before moving on to technical drills for learning the two lifts. We’ll also introduce additional strength movements which assist in performing the lifts.

By the end of the four weeks you should have a good foundation in the lifts to build upon, and be comfortable joining our open sessions.

Who is this class for?

This class is for people with little to no experience of the snatch or clean & jerk. 

Drop- in pricing: if you wish to do a drop-in session please book via our TeamUp link or contact us in advance prior to your visit where you will be able to pay in card or cash.

  • Members: open gym £8, coaching £20
  • Non-members: open gym £15, coaching £25

Personal Training: 1-on-1 training where you set your goals and hit them via 1-on-1 coaching that’s built specifically for you. 1-on-1 training are flexible, train on your own time with the coach of your choosing. Personalised instruction means that every second of your gym time is devoted to meeting your needs. Your personal coach can help you build a specific skill set, strengthen weak areas, gain a competitive edge in your sport, and stay motivated to reach your goals.

  • £70 per hour hour,  15 minutes is given in additional for introductions and stretching warm-up
  • £325, 5 sessions, 5 hours, 15 minutes is given in additional for introductions and stretching warm-up
  • £500, 10 sessions, 10 hours, 15 minutes is given in additional for introductions and stretching warm-up

Group Training: Group training is designed in mind to leads to lasting relationships which will keep you accountable. Each session will challenge you to be a better lifter. Your fellow lifters will keep you accountable and make training fun (subjected to availability, minimum 2, maximum 4 people per group).

  • £55 (per person), 1 hour 30 minutes, 15 minutes is given in additional for introductions and stretching warm-up
  • £180 (per person), 4 sessions,  4 x 1 hour 30 minutes, 15 minutes is given in additional for introductions and stretching warm-up.

Weightlifting Course:

Kaz hosts strength and conditioning seminars for beginners and advanced individuals who want to learn how to snatch, and clean & jerk in a more focused format. During these one or two-day weightlifting workshops Kaz provides constant technique evaluation, gives advice on individualised programming, discusses effective accessory exercises to aid your development, and includes nutritional and supplement advice to lead you towards your full fitness potential. Workshop size minimum 2, maximum 4 people per group.

  • £150 (per person), 1 day, 5 hours 30 minutes, warm up, technical review, breaks, next steps
  • £220 (per person), 2 days, 2 x 5 hours 30 minutes, warm up, technical review, breaks, next steps

About:

Olympic lifts have become synonymous with high-level performance and conditioning. As a result, it would be very difficult to find a top-level sportsperson regardless of their field of endeavor who has not trained in the snatch or clean and jerk. Olympic lifting is excellent for developing speed, acceleration, coordination and power, components of fitness which are highly sought after. However it is not just elite-level athletes who can benefit from learning and training in Olympic lifting, everybody can benefit from learning the lifts and their progressions.

The weightlifting group training is for a wide range of people from fitness professionals, personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, health practitioners, CrossFit practitioners and weight-lifting enthusiasts

The benefits you obtain from this group is a detailed introduction to Olympic Weightlifting as a method of training and conditioning and learning how to perform the main Olympic lifts and all of the preparatory and assistant lifts and developing your own lifting technique and most of all help you teach others safely and effectively ad Olympic lifts are excellent for developing speed, acceleration, coordination and power, components of fitness which are highly sought after, lift safely without injuring yourself, perform better in your own sport, get stronger, faster and more flexible by learning the correct technique, measure your improvement

You will get an introduction and learn about safety, specialist warm-ups and how to break down the major lifts and perform and teach every individual component like the Snatch, the Clean and the Jerk. You will also learn how to implement Olympic lifts into training sessions and design new programs for Olympic lifting and a large variety of assistant exercises to improve performance and technique.
