Ealing Weightlifters Shine at Recent Competition
Last weekend, four talented lifters from Ealing Weightlifting Club showcased their skills and determination at a highly competitive event. Representing the club were Ehda (59kg category), Asees (55kg category), Tom (89kg category), and Matt (81kg category).
The excitement was palpable as each lifter stepped onto the platform, and the results did not disappoint. Every single Ealing athlete broke at least one personal best record, a testament to their hard work and dedication in training.
Special mention goes to Ehda and Tom, who were both making their competitive debuts. Despite the pressure of their first-ever competition, they rose to the occasion, delivering impressive performances that bode well for their future in the sport.
However, the standout performer of the day was undoubtedly Asees, a seasoned veteran who holds an incredible 17 British records. Not content to rest on her laurels, Asees snatched a new personal record of 70kg, propelling her to first place in her weight category and an impressive second place overall.
Equally noteworthy was Matt’s performance, despite battling illness throughout the day. Although he declined his third attempts, Matt’s resilience and determination paid off as he claimed first place in his weight category and an impressive fourth place overall.
The Ealing Weightlifting Club coaching staff, led by head coach Kazem, couldn’t be prouder of the team’s achievements. Kazem expressed his delight at the results, praising the lifters’ hard work and commitment to the sport.
This competition has served as a powerful reminder of the talent and potential within the Ealing Weightlifting Club, and everyone is already looking forward to the next opportunity to showcase their skills on the platform.
